 He is an expert in vitreo-retina and uveitis. He earned his MS in ophthalmology from PGIMER in Chandigarh, one of the country's most prestigious medical schools. He has had thorough training in vitreo-retina and uveities at PGIMER Chandigarh's Advanced Eye Centre. He was the head of the vitreo-retina and uveities department at Venu Eye Institute and Research Centre. In India, he was a pioneer in anti-VEGF therapy.

• He has received several prizes and honours at international conferences. He has published in prestigious medical publications, focusing on uveitis and three-dimensional optical coherence tomography. He has various articles published in national and international magazines. He has worked as a part of ground-breaking research in the domains of diabetic retinopathy, central serous retinopathy, uveitic hypotony and ocular impacts of dengue fever. He has extensive expertise treating retinal detachment and diabetic retinopathy.
• He is on the editorial boards of many international journals, including the American Journal of Ophthalmology. He is skilled in both traditional and cutting-edge surgical approaches for treating retinal problems, such as suture-less vitrectomy.
