Dr. (Col.) Ranga Rao has over 30 years of expertise in the field of Medical Oncology. Cancers of the lung, pleura, breast, ovary, cervical, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, bone, skin, lymphomas of all sorts, brain tumours, kidney, urinary bladder, prostate, head and neck are among his specialties. He has built and strengthened the numerous cancer centres and departments by providing evidence-based compassionate oncological treatment, strong academics, SOPs, and bringing each department up to speed with the utmost care and skill. He worked on multiple research initiatives and has several national and international articles and posters to his name.
He has received various major academic prizes, including the 'Vishisht Seva Medal' by the Indian government.
