Dr. Vashisht has extensive expertise at a variety of hospitals in and around New Delhi. He is now affiliated with Patel Nagar's Kailash Nursing Home and Eye Care, Gurgaon's Artemis Hospital, and Janakpuri's Mata Chanan Devi Hospital. Other positions he has held include Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon at Max Superspeciality Hospital (Panchsheel and Saket), Consultant at Maharaja Agrasen Hospital (Punjabi Bagh), Consultant at Fortis Hospital (Shalimar Bagh), and Visiting Retina Specialist at Central Railway Hospital, New Delhi.
From June 2007 until June 2010, Dr Vashisht worked as a Senior Registrar (vitreo-retina and uvea) at the Dr Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He then began working at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Associate Consultant in New Delhi until October 2010. From February to September 2011, he worked as an Associate Consultant at Dr. BL Kapur Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Naginder Vashisht has extensive experience in fluorescein and indocyanine green angiography, optical coherence tomography, ultrasonography of ocular structures and adnexa, and microbiological examination of infectious ocular disorders. He has also undergone extensive training in ocular pathology and pharmacology laboratory techniques, as well as Humphrey visual field evaluation and Goldman perimetry, ocular pachymetry, and corneal topography examination. He also has experience in videokeratography, orbs can, refractive surgery, and biometry workup. He has considerable experience with lasers and cryotherapy, including YAG-PI, YAG capsulotomy, retinal photocoagulation (focal, grid, full & sectoral scatter), laser indirect ophthalmoscopy, TTT, and cryotherapy. Dr. Vashisht's surgical experience includes phacoemulsification under topical anaesthetic, buckling surgery, pars plana vitrectomy, vitreoretinal procedures for difficult retinal detachment, macular hole surgery, and trauma cases such as IOFB and endophthalmitis.
Dr. Vashisht has been actively involved in research investigations in addition to his clinical experience, and numerous of his co-authored works have been published in peer-reviewed publications or given as posters or podium speeches at medical conferences. He has also received honours for his services and is a respected member of several ophthalmic societies. So far in his career, he has attended ten national and six international conferences.
