Dr. Rajiv Mohan

Dr. Rajiv Mohan is a well-known ophthalmologist who has worked in both the private and philanthropic sectors to provide quality eye care and education in Northern India. In 1985, he obtained his medical degree from the University College of Medical Sciences in Delhi, and in 1989, he received his Masters in Ophthalmology from Karnataka University. He received his advanced medical training in the field of vitreo-retinal from England in 1990 and was awarded the Hon. FRCS, Glasgow, U.K. in 2002.

About Me

Dr. Rajiv was one of the first in India to use the Phacoemulsification procedure in cataract surgery. He is also the Executive President of the National Society for the Prevention of Blindness (NSPB) All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, which holds eye camps via its 30 branches around India.

Beingv He is actively interested in teaching and has 25 research papers and dissertations to his credit. He has served as an Honorary Examiner for the National Board of Examinations in India and is currently an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow, Scotland.

Dr. Mohan has garnered several accolades during his career for his remarkable contributions to Ophthalmology and social work. Honorary Fellowship, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow (UK), Award of Excellence by the Delhi Ophthalmological Society, National Seva Award by the Jain Santan Dharam, India, and the IIRSI Gold Medal by the Intraocular Implant and Refractive Society of India. He was also named a Lions Club International Foundation Melvin Jones Fellow and a Rotary Club International Foundation Paul Harris Fellow.
